Did the city blind me ?

Was going through some of my old mails and I happened to skim through some stuff I had written when I was 19. This was the time when I had newly relocated to Mumbai and was working as a trainee at Blue Lotus Communications.

It was magical! I was this unbelievably starry eyed girl, wanting to experience every bit that a ‘work life’ had to offer. I had loads of confidence. I was extremely enterprising. I was uninhibited, fearless and naïve…. Strangely I don’t possess even half of what I did, back then. Not that my confidence seems to be at an all time low right now, but I am undeniably more conscious and more practical about everything I do now. But five years back, I felt more aware …. more empowered …… As U2 rightly put it, ‘the more you see the less you know. The less you find out as you go. I knew much more then than I do now’….. Couldn’t think of a better-suited context to this line.

Did this make sense? It did to me :)

We're back in business !

Fellow bloggers, I’m back in action .

It took reading some wonderful posts to get me to revive mine !

My life’s been hectic in the last five months ! Changed my job, am going to get married, manage new relationships and all that jazz, the ongoing diet regime (Cadburys, I’ve never missed you so much), my dog who turned deaf, closure to some old relationships…tensed about some new ones and much more.
Keeping my fingers crossed for all this to go off well !

Rains are here to stay !!!

Rains are finally here to stay…….actually that’s what I’m hoping for! Velvet green grass, mucky puddles, kanda bhaji, my pink raincoat ……ohhh…I am in love with the rains. I have always believed that god cries every time it rains. I have lost my cousin, seen close friends fight, almost had a break up ..... when it was pouring cats and dogs. And I seriously believed that God was very feeling sorry for me and expressed himself by showering me with his tears.

Anyway, I was listening to the CCR song this morning while I was cabbing it to work.

I can relate to it so much. Guess the rain makes you start off with a good feeling, then have a sad one, then going back to square one….. like a never ending cycle.

First let me iron out those forehead creases that you guys may have, seeing my weird blog title.

So, what does ‘Theesha Horsequote’ mean?? Well it’s a stylized version of my ‘not so fancy’ name. Some of us who’ve been blessed with very unique family names have to resort to such tactics.. you see. Anyway….. coming to the point, I’ve taken my baby steps into blogosphere .Yeyyyy .....Was always inclined towards writing, but I guess conforming myself into the corporate framework destroyed many parts of it, long ago. This is an earnest attempt to salvage the remnants. Please write, appreciate, criticize, argue, agree, scribble, doodle or do just anything that increases the number of comments on my post and keeps me hooked on to this new activity :)
